Job Summary:

The Health and Safety Coordinator will play an active role with Precise ParkLink’s Health and Safety Team in maintaining and continuously improving the company’s COR accreditation. The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and administration of safety procedures in-house and on project sites.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Assist with conducting toolbox talks, job hazard assessments, inspections and audits

  • Develop construction project safety plans, monitor, and enforce worker and subcontractor compliance

  • Develop health and safety policies and programs, safe work practices and safe job procedures

  • Conduct new worker training/orientation and maintain online training software programs

  • Maintain statistics and records

  • Provide guidance and support to the Joint Health and Safety Committee

  • Assist with incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions

  • Manage WSIB claims and the return to work process

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on health and safety legislative requirements and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety required

  • Three (3) to (5) years previous experience in occupational health & safety management

  • Knowledge and experience with the Certificate of Recognition (CORâ„¢) Program required

  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), National and Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designations considered an asset

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Effective organizational skills with demonstated ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and buy in with the ability to maintain confidentiality

What You’ll Do

As a Curb Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth curbside operations and a safe, clean environment for travelers. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Support guests with accessibility needs.

  • Inspect vehicle & required devices prior to departing for shift; report any issues to manager immediately

  • Follow procedures regarding log sheets/ recording site visits

  • Carefully check expiration date/ time of parking receipts displayed on dashboards, as well as approved hangtags where applicable

  • Run plates through enforcement software at applicable sites to confirm registration

  • Ensure accuracy in issuing infractions (correct information on ticket)

  • Ensure devices are returned as they were taken, and placed back on charging units for next shifts

  • Arranging towing of vehicles where applicable, under By-Law regulations

  • Ability to work outdoors, within a sheltered garage environment

  • Mandatory health & safety training required to be completed upon hire

  • Litter pick up and general maintenance of parking equipment

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Calls & Customer Support

  • Call Handling: Log all incoming calls into the Customer Service Systems and determine the appropriate action.

  • Types of Calls: Example Types

    • Machine Malfunctions: Transfer reports of machine malfunctions to the Service Department.

    • Customer Inquiries: Assist customers with inquiries regarding parking, permits, payments, and disputes.

Facility Monitoring & Operational Support

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Track Company Vehicles, On-site Equipment Health and overseeing on-site parking operations.

  • Customer Assistance: Provide real-time support to parkers at various locations, including access control and pay-on-foot/pay-and-display machines.

  • Incident Response: Prepare service calls in response to alarms detected on parking machines.

  • Cash Level Monitoring: Track and report cash levels of parking stations to prevent service disruptions.

  • Technical Support: Respond to real-time customer issues and escalate cases to Service/IT technicians when necessary.

Administrative & Clerical Duties

  • Call Documentation: Maintain accurate call logs and records for tracking and reporting purposes.

  • Transaction Verification: Investigate overpayment/overcharge inquiries by collecting machine numbers and transaction times.

  • Service Coordination: Direct machine malfunction calls to the Service Department.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical & Customer Service Skills

  • Stationner adéquatement les véhicules dans les espaces prévues à cette fin et éviter les accidents et les dommages

  • S’assurer que les bassins et zones réservées aux voituriers soient accessibles au personnel et véhicules autorisé seulement

  • Déneiger et chauffer les voitures au besoin

  • Aviser le superviseur de l’état de la chaussée lorsqu’elle devient risquée
